On laying out the Carpetina, I found it hard to believe that such a tightly woven awning carpet could be breathable. The lightweight, yet almost impermeable layer keeps the grass out of sight, and we had no problems with mud seepage in wet weather. Moulded-in anti-fungicide will keeps any mould at bay when the carpet is in storage.
We expected to see a big yellow patch when we lifted the Carpetina after a week. It was nothing short of amazing to see that not a blade of grass had discoloured.
Eco-Mat and Alnet will find favour with many caravanners, but given the choice, we'll be 'Keeping our grass greener with Carpetina.' In our book, it's a clear winner.

Carpetina awning carpet is available in grey, green, blue and burgundy colours.
Carpetina awning carpet is the perfect solution to pitching your caravan on any type of grass.
It's Caravan Club approved and is preferred on many camping sites.
This is because the material is specially designed to protect the grass and has consistently won tests for its grass preserving performance. Nor does it soak up damp so you are able to enjoy outside living in comfort while being sure of leaving your pitch in perfect condition.
It is made from a special recyclable, woven fabric that is both inert and light.

A 5m length can be stored in a box needing only a quarter of the space required by other types of product.
What's more, because it is impervious to moisture, Carpetina does not get any heavier when it has been laid on wet grass and neither will it grow mould if packed away while damp.
To clean your Carpetina, the best way is simply to rinse it with a jet wash.

Carpetina Soft
If you want a budget version, go for our Carpetina soft. It is a cheap alternative to our environmentally friendly Classic Carpetina.
Carpetina soft is the same as other foam type awning carpets. Available in the same colours and sizes as Classic, but please note it takes up far more room when it comes to storage and it doesn’t boast the same qualities as our market-leading original product.
The Carpetina Soft is soft to walk on, and is non skid and is Caravan Club approved.
To clean your Carpetina Soft, the best way is simply rinse it with a jet wash, this product will go mouldy if packed away damp so please ensure that the carpet is fully dried before packing away.
